Santoin - Mouth Wash is suitable for everyday oral hygiene. Its formula is produced from the Chinese medical herb Macleya Cordata in combination with the natural healing substance Allantoin. These substances have favourable effects on gums, they help to decrease the stripping of tooth necks and contribute to the protection against the production of dental plaque.

Santoin - Mouth Wash has anti-microbial properties, protects against dental plaque and freshens breath.

Santoin - Mouth Wash helps to reduce the risk of the cause of Periodontitis and positively influences against the undesired symptoms of this disease.

What is Periodontitis?
Periodontal disease or Periodontitis (formerly called Pyorrhea) is an infectious, contagious disease, and whose evolution untreated can lead to tooth loss.

It is characterized by progressive loss of tooth support. It can affect all age groups, although it is more prevalent in adults from 40 years. In children and young people is much more aggressive.
Periodontitis is one of the major causes of loosening of the teeth on adults and is the primarly in older people.

Most cases of Periodontitis are the consequence of prolonged accumulation of plaque and tartar between the teeth and gums, thus favoring the formation of deep cavities between the tooth root and the underlying bone. These cavities accumulate plaque in oxygen free environment which stimulates the growth of bacteria. If the process continues, the jaw adjacent to the cavity will ultimately be destroyed until the tooth falls.

Periodontitis can trigger destructive surges of activity lasting months, followed by periods in which the disease apparently did not cause greater damage.

Many diseases may predispose to collapse the Periodontitis, including Diabetes Mellitus, Down's Syndrome, Crohn's disease, a White Blood Cell Deficiency and AIDS.

Usage: For a more effective result use morning and evening after brushing. Pour about 10 ml (cap capacity) to a glass and undiluted rinse your mouth for about thirty seconds and discard. After rinse is not necessary to rinse the mouth with water and for maximum effect it is recommended not to eat or drink for half an hour.
